Yellowstone
A Wonderful Tour Through Our First and Greatest National Park

Tour #1 through #7 are all based out of West Yellowstone, MT at The West Yellowstone Conference Hotel. The hotel has all the amenities of a fine resort and a great staff to cater to your every need. Basing our tours out of West Yellowstone also eliminates the van trip to and from the Park; with just a short snowmobile ride, we are at the West Gate entrance to Yellowstone Park. West Yellowstone has the feel of an old west small town with great food, night life, shopping, movie theater, gambling and most everything you might want within easy walking distance. The Gallatin, Beaverhead and the Targhee National Forest trail system, along with Lions Head and Two Top will give us plenty of riding for the introduction day. All park tours will use the state of the art technology 4 stroke snowmobiles provided by Arctic Cat. The clean and quiet, environmentally friendly Arctic Cat 4 strokes all have hand and thumb warmers, electric start, reverse and not to mention a great ride.
SCHEDULE FOR YELLOWSTONE PARK TOURS # 1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #7.
Day one
Begins as you arrive at Bozeman, MT Gallatin Field (code BZN) where the included Karst Stage shuttle service will transport you to West Yellowstone, MT. You will be welcomed to The Conference Hotel which will be our home base for the next few nights. Bozeman is serviced by Northwest, Delta, United, Horizon and Frontier Airlines. After check in and getting settled in to your comfy room, you go to the snow desk in the hotel to sign your snowmobile rental agreement contract. After getting your snowmobile clothing you can enjoy the many amenities of the hotel or go check out the town and what it has to offer. Dinner will be at The Conference Hotel’s, Oregon Shortline Dining Room. Shortly after, we will have a meeting to cover the why’s and wherefore’s of safe snowmobiling.
Day two
The next morning we are suited and booted along with our signed snowmobile contracts, we receive our sled
assignments. After a safety and operational briefing we are off for our introduction day of riding to get you acclimated and comfortable with the operation of the snowmobiles. We will have lunch at one of restaurants in West Yellowstone and then return to the trails for afternoon riding. With
the days ride behind us we are back to West Yellowstone for a great dinner. After dinner we have the option to go to the I-Max Theatre to catch one of their action movies on the big screen and then returning to the Hotel for a good nights rest.
Day three
We ride to the Yellowstone Park gate and enter the park to begin
our tour of our first and
greatest National Park. As we follow the
awesome Madison River Valley you will see bison, elk, eagles,
coyotes and a lot of beautiful scenery as we ride to Madison
Junction warming hut for a brief stop. From there we go south
following the Firehole River as we see and experience the Geyser
Basins; eventually ending up at Old Faithful where we have lunch and
watch the eruption of the ever popular Old Faithful Geyser. A short
ride to Kepler Cascades and we are heading back into the Geyser
Basins with stops at Black Sand Basin, Midway Geyser, Fountain Paint
Pots, Firehole Canyon and lots of awesome sights. Soon we are back
at Madison Junction and then West Yellowstone, MT in time for
dinner. After dinner we pack our travel bags for the two upcoming
overnights at The Best Western in Gardiner, MT. We will vacate our
rooms and take our leave behind baggage to a storage room at the
Hotel before leaving the next morning.
Day four
With the travel bags packed in the tote sled we are off to visit The Grizzly Discovery Center where we will see the grizzly bears, wolves and a neat museum. Lunch will be at one of the restaurants in West Yellowstone, MT before going into the Park. As we ride from Madison Junction following the Gibbon River we will stop at Gibbon Falls, Beryl Springs, Norris Geyser Basin, Roaring Mountain, Obsidian Cliff, Sheepeater Cliff, Swan Lake Flats and Mammoth Hot Springs Trailhead. We leave our snowmobiles at the trailhead and take a 10 minute van ride following the Gardner River to the town of Gardiner, MT for our overnight at Best Western Motel with the Yellowstone River out your window. Dinner will be at The Yellowstone Mine Restaurant.
Day five
With lunches packed the next morning we board the van to begin our wildlife tour of the beautiful Lamar Valley. The Lamar Valley is a low snow area that is home to a lot of wildlife: elk, bison, eagles, otters, coyotes and last but not least wolves. There are several wolf packs that reside in and hunt the Lamar Valley due to the high population of elk and bison in the valley. The awesome scenery of the Lamar Valley will be topped off with a visit to The Yellowstone Park Museum and Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces before returning to Best Western Gardiner and dinner at the Yellowstone Mine.
Day six
A short van ride takes us to the trailhead and our waiting snowmobiles for the ride to Norris Geyser Basin. The ride from Norris to Canyon Village does not give a hint to our next stop and the awesome beauty of The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. With stops at Artist Point and the Uncle Tom’s Trail, the upper and lower falls views are breathtaking. As we leave the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, the trail follows the Yellowstone River and takes us to the former lake bed that is now the Hayden Valley. As we ride across the valley it is hard to perceive what it must have been like as a lake. At the lower end of the valley we stop at the Mud Volcano and then follow the Yellowstone River to Fishing Bridge for a lunch stop and a scenic view of Yellowstone Lake. From here we ride back to West Yellowstone and the end of the tour of our First and Greatest Park: Yellowstone National Park. The schedule of stops will be mingled with numerous sightings of bison, elk, coyotes, eagles, otters, trumpeter swans and wolves.
